DMRC smart app in India

Good news for the smartphone users residing in Delhi province as Delhi Metro authority, DMRC are soon planning out to rocket about a progressive smartphone app which will carve out a new stone in the modern history of amenities and facilities in India.

This smart app will be providing a means for the commuters to get information related to metro stations, the train fares between those stations, arrival as well as departure time for the trains.
Several other goodies the smart app will be capable to offer are like the nearest metro station, the timing of the first and the last train from and to its home station, the journey duration among various stations, the metro route information, the most significant metro map covering the whole metro operating network in graphical representation. Users will be able to zoom in and out through this map to locate his current position on the route map. More features include the information regarding new stations in their adolescent stage.
The feature that will definitely put a smile on people’s face is that this app is expected to operate even without accessing the internet i.e. in the offline mode and will be available with a single download totally free of cost. Users will be allowed to install a latest version of the smart app and keep going with their work. More to add are the features like looking up for some landmarks and tourist spots in the vicinity of the metro stations.
Considering the gruesome and lamentable anti-social activities occurring in the suburbs of Delhi, the authority has sorted out a feature for providing helpline numbers for security threats, suggestions, in case of emergency and feedback.
Modern era phones may be supplied with services to determine the current location of the user with the help of GPS huntsman. This service will help in finding correct route from source to destination without any hassle. Detecting the metro feeder buses to the desired metro station would even be of much help for the minute group of people with less knowledge of the metro approach, who still like boarding common means of transport.
Keeping in mind the current trend of socializing  this app can be used for answering user-asked questions based on daily stuffs like the procedure to use this app or ATM etc.
The app will also provide the commuters with generic information guidelines and safety precautions to abide by while boarding a metro.
The tender in relevance to this application is expected to be submitted by DMRC at the end of this March, approximately on 28th.
But for the app to be more fruitful, this needs to get installed all over India within the cities laden with metro tracks. This perhaps will also attract more number of passengers to board a metro, hence more business. It’s certainly a matter of appreciation and delight for the authority behind this huge step. It’s sporadically a matter of days when this smart app steps down the market.

It may get released under the brand name Xbox 720, Xbox infinity or something else, but Microsoft is in its pinnacle of rumour regarding its latest Xbox release. Analysts predict the latest Xbox release to stab Sony, the arch-rival encircling its next generation of gaming consoles.
Since Sony unveiled its promising touch-sensitive interface embedded with its Dualshock pads and innovative controllers, Microsoft fans had to mention the next-gen Kinect motion sensors embedded within a PC like internal architecture to counter.
Several non-gaming features such as a skype telephony system, speech recognition and a built-in live TV recorder may set apart xbox from other contenders on the ground of additional features.
Till date, there’s not even any leaked release date from Microsoft’s end but after Sony revealing its PS4 in an event in New York, Microsoft most probably won’t keep its hands glued.
‘Early to rise’ is by far the most market-provoking strategy for the wide acceptance of any product. This is one of the many reasons behind the glory of Xbox which hit the markets a year earlier than the PS3.
The rumour factory provides us with the pseudo-fact that Xbox will be right away placed onto the retailers’ showcase whenever PS4 floods the market.
The console under the codename Durango, although no official disclosure, but may have the following techie specs:
·         8 or 16 core CPU and a 8GB DDR RAM with a clock frequency ticking at 1.6GHz.
·         800 MHz of graphical processor
·         X64 CPU architecture.
·         Gigabit Ethernet with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi direct connectivity.
·         A Blu-Ray Disc Driver.
The Kinect feature in xbox 720 may have some smoother features than the 320. A leaked specification determines the 720 kinect to be capable of tracking even smaller skeletal movements and close objects from closer vicinity. Hence, greater accuracy within closer proximity. Better and higher resolutions and larger space to play are also pinned onto the list.
One surrogate groundbreaking feature from Microsoft may be the Illumiroom module coupled with the Kinect feature. It is said to be capable for augmenting the appearance of the user’s environment to the ongoing gaming environment. It’s most probably like a 3D simulation with simultaneous gaming feel. Gaming nerds would love this.
Talking about backward compatibility, the ancestor 320 didn’t have this feature and 720 most likely will follow suit. But, Microsoft may offer some kind of emulation like Sony for sparing some good old games to be played on this new successor.
November was the month of release for the Xbox versions and so theoretically it has to be the winter of this year. It will leave the audiences totally flabbergasted if the release skips even this year after borrowing that much of patience and anticipation.
Sony on the other hand would take down a history note and may step up on this theory and make a PS4 release prior to that date.
Pricing is one main checklist for such products to survive in the market too. The xbox 720 would most likely to be placed somewhere around £299 but it is yet to get confirmed.
There can surely be no definite dates, specification and exact costs unless its disclosed officially by Microsoft but the above written matter is certainly based upon the most prevalent and circulating gossips based on statistical reports and theoretical point of view. Perhaps, Xbox had eight adulthood of gaming superintend at a stretch and there should be more to come.

Open Source Content Management System aka CMS is abundantly used for building almost any sort of website on the web. These CMSs are no doubt the flawless victors of the present web industry.
But the future for such open source technologies can be only predicted depending upon how these are deployed and their relative pros and cons.
The growing communities certainly add up points for the fact that these Open Source CMSs are going to be more prevalent and easier to use in the future. Larger mass of communities means greater number of bug reports and fixes and elevated number of stability improvements.
Now days, objective for each website has a specialised CMS to accomplish the job. Wordpress freely distributes a blogging platform whereas Magento provides with free eCommerce and Drupal provides with both the features.
Drupal provides uttermost scalability and dynamic features that enhances the possibilities of creating powerful content-driven website, media management, easy modifications, and extensive scope of socialising through community, forums and blog.
Open source websites has been under limelight in the recent years because of its free licensed and open model. Today’s consumers demand a rich and intuitive user experience with content that exactly reflects the news, views and latest products on offer. Thus a comprehensive solution to this is a must.
Let’s narrow down our research towards the pros that an open source technology has to offer and the cons one may refer.
The main advantage with Open source is the source code that is made freely available for the techies. They are allowed to customise the program to their own level of expertise. So the freely available plugins, modules and extensions undergo immediate updates and are distributed among the community for further use in no time.
Whereas customising the core can create constraints in future growth and support of the application. This is because such customisations can impede the ability to apply future patches or fixes. In such cases, people may find themselves in the precarious position to remain stiff with their current version with any issues it may have. But one cannot refute the merits such open source websites has to offer and the benefits these provide.
Again, slow response and longer completion time for the queries by the community who never gets commercial gain for any work, may slow down the web development progress.
Open source is believed to shake the CMS establishment based on these facts:
Flexibility: People want everything to be implemented according to their desire with extra pound of uniqueness without any limitations and for such situations Open source is the sole rescuer. On the contrary, proprietary technologies either forcibly lets one to figure out solutions on their own or else to change their plans.
Innovation: Communities for open source web technologies actively strives for the betterment of the releases by fixing bugs and solving issues and thus paves a grand path for innovation. Currently Drupal 7 has got thousands of contributed modules at an approx. And this surely dwarfs any proprietary community, if present.
Growing ecosystem: The scope of employment in open source is gaining its feet in the recent years. More than 3500 jobs are available only under Drupal when searched within several job portals. Till date, Drupal surely has the biggest community when compared to other CMS like wordpress, Joomla or Magento.
So to conclude, members of these technologies can pop out more ideas and publish sites without budget fears. And because of its well-supported features, one can avail greater choices of service providers and consultants. The kick-start which the licensed and commercial technologies once got accustomed to is eventually evaporating. The Open Source web technologies surely bears a promising future and thus Darwin’s ‘survival of the fittest’ theory will soon come up with open source as its answer.
